About
A different category of garden dwelling.
Hortéa is a product company. Three models, one material standard, one price list. No bespoke quoting process, no vague 'from' prices, no planning ambiguity.
Our thinking
The Irish garden room category has been allowed to drift. A market that began with genuine craft — bespoke timber structures, site-specific design, honest materials — now trades on aspirational photography and vague compliance language. The buyer, who is spending €75,000 to €165,000, is expected to trust a "from" price, an implied planning exemption, and a photograph of a building they cannot verify exists.
Hortéa is a correction. Three fixed models. Published specifications. Named planning routes with legal references. Fixed prices. The production standard of a building products company applied to a category that has operated like a bespoke service.
We chose three models because three is the number that covers the range of legal routes in Ireland — one that sits comfortably inside Class 1 exemption, one that bridges the extension and annexe routes, and one that is honest about requiring full planning. Any fewer and we leave a buyer without a product; any more and we are selling configuration for its own sake.
The ten-year structural warranty and the lifetime aftercare programme are not marketing. They are the commitments that change how we design and manufacture. A company that services what it sells builds differently from one that does not.
